	Sinduvalli/Val Vandertulip 1994 -2001Ziah’s original dance partner when they traveled on the Renaissance Faire circuit together. They would seek out teachers and events to attend in each city they were in for a Faire. Their circuit took them from AZ, OK, GA, IL/WI, KS and back to Ziah’s home Faire of TX. Val still travels with the Faires as jeweler.
	Nichole 1998-2002Nichole lives in Nashville and directs her tribal bellydance troupe, Gypsyville people.tribe.net/gypsyville and is co-director of the burlesque troupe, PantyRaid www.pantyraiddames.com, which was featured in a Old Crow Medicine Show music video. Her son, Aiden, was born in early 2008.
	Nikki Jamila 1998-2002Took a break from dancing to work full time and raise two children, Imani and Noah, but has since jumped back in with both feet as a member of Jahara Phoenix when Oracle opened up a studio just around the corner from her. delphidance.com/jaharaphoenix.htm
	Kquvien DeWeese 1999Teaches kick ass Yoga at Stillwater in Midtown www.stillyoga.com. Do yourself a favor and go, but be warned her classes are true workouts, she doesn’t have all those amazing muscles for nothing!
	Lilah 1999-2000Moved to Bay Area to study with Jill Parker, Suhaila Salimpour and to participate in the revival of BalAnat www.balanat.com but has returned to the Southeast to raise her daughter, Thalia.
	Tanya Aranda 1999-2000Moved to Bay Area where she was a member and stage manager of Bal Anat www.balanat.com, member of Suhaila Salimpour Dance Co. www.suhailadancecompany.com and the Extra Action Marching Band www.extra-action.com. Her vast resume includes make-up design, costuming, stage management, talent recruitment and event entertainment coordinator.
	Lee Ann Bonomo 2001-2002Our original yoga goddess, Lee Ann retired from Awalim after a severe injury to her ankle in a car accident. However, she missed the spirit of dance and community that Awalim embodies too much to stay away. She has recently returned as a student and as Ziah’s office assistant to help with Awalim’s busy schedule and the details for TribalCon.
	Delkash 2000-2003Left Awalim to assist Nichole in Gypsyville in 2004/2005 where they taught at Spirit of the Tribes in 2005. Delkash can been seen performing on Awalim’s Live DVD “Yalla! Yalla!”
	Lilith/ Lillie 2001-2003After leaving Awalim to pursue her solo jazz singing career Lillie produced the CD “How Long Has This Been Going On” www.cdbaby.com/cd/lillieh. Lillie can been seen performing on Awalim’s Live DVD “Yalla! Yalla!”
	Leeanna Lim 2003-2005While Leeanna has taken a break from performing for awhile she still teaches bellydance and attends many classes and workshops around the Atlanta area. Leeanna can been seen performing on Awalim’s Live DVD “Yalla! Yalla!”
	Moria 2002-2004Moria is currently touring with BellyDanceSuperStars and travels the world teaching workshops. Moria can been seen performing on Awalim’s Live DVD “Yalla! Yalla!” www.moriachappell.com www.bellydancesuperstars.com
	Jacqueline 2004-2006Jacqueline briefly formed a duet with her best friend, Jessyka, called Vestacha Mora. She has now married and joined the Air Force.
	Kaleila 2001-2006After leaving Awalim, Kaleila established a successful small business consultancy(www.growbigbiz.com). In 2007, Kaleila became pregnant with her first child, which led to extensive research into pregnancy and bellydance, the results of which are posted at www.georgiabellydance.com. In 2008, while she was eight months pregnant and only a few weeks away from giving birth, Kaleila produced a prenatal bellydance performance video titled “Bellydance Baby! 	Rosario 2002-2006“Yalla! Yalla!”
	Katya 2006-2009 Katya moved to Seattle to study to be an Osteopath the summer of 2009. She is also pursuing her love of circus aerial arts.
	Suvali 2006-2007 Suvali (Susan) made the very difficult decision to leave Awalim in November 2007 to complete her doctorate in Environmental Microbiology. She relishes the chance to attend the occasional belly dance class or workshop, and also dabbles in yoga and flamenco. Susan is still having severe Awalim-related withdrawal symptoms, so please be nice to her if you see her around.
	Syka 2005- 2007Syka stepped down from Awalim and accepted a promotion at work which gives her the opportunity to go back to school so she can further her career. She still plans to find time to continue dancing, even if it’s just for fun.
